by the Fife Farmers' Market Co-Operative, held in the centre
of the town, this splendid market has a splendid reputation
for being well organised with a wonderful cross section of
local producers to keep visitors happy.

along to this exhibition and learn to translate the secret
languages of the past. From Pictish symbols to Victorian wedding
dresses, people have been using symbols and colours to get
their message across for thousands of years. Discover the
hidden stories of some fascinating objects.

Kirkcaldy Music Festival is an annual celebration of the town's
vibrant live music scene. Local acts, promoters and venues
put on three days of events that showcase the best in local
talent featuring everything from rock to folk, jazz to classical,
dance to disco.
Frabjous Beasts
25th August - 7th October, Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery
Frabjous Beasts celebrates the monstrous in this exhibition
by ten of the country's finest children's book illustrators.
Quentin Blake has selected the work, and created seven frabjous
beasts of his own for the show. It includes original drawings
of famous characters such as Raymond Briggs' Fungus the Bogeyman
and Axel Scheffler's Gruffalo. Guest storytellers and beastly
activities will run alongside the show. Contact the Museum
