MGt,
the UK’s leading support services provider to the digital
TV and broadcast industry, has opened its new office in the
JSPB two building to serve its growing customer base.
The business
has experienced consistent growth since its foundation in
1998. In Gordon Brown’s recent visit to the company
he recognised MGt as a major contributor to the Scottish economy
and a key player in supporting the growth of the UK’s
digital TV industry, which is leading Europe.
The expansion
to new offices will create in excess of 200 jobs, strengthening
its position as the largest private sector employer in Kirkcaldy
and Cowdenbeath. The company currently employs 1,200 staff
across six locations within the UK and has an annual turnover
of more than £16million.
In total,
MGt is investing in excess of £9million to acquire and
fit out new premises in the John Smith Business Park, and
to acquire its existing corporate head office at Cluny Court.
The project is being funded by the Bank of Scotland Corporate
Fife and a Regional Selective Assistance grant of £1.1m
from the Scottish Executive. Together the two premises comprise
over 60,000 sqft of high quality office accommodation.
Broadcast
clients such as Sky, Freeview, NTL, Top Up TV, Discovery Networks,
Sony Entertainment, Setanta Sports and Zee rely on MGt’s
expertise to look after their subscription management and
viewer relationships. The company manages the entire customer
lifecycle on behalf of clients from acquisition and fulfilment
to connection and payment .
